Classical Greece with Island Hopper

Ancient ruins, stunning scenery, lots of sunshine, the Greek Islands, the crystal-clear Aegean Sea, and tasty cuisine…on this Greece tour, you’ll experience all of this and more!

History comes alive on your guided visits to many of Greece’s ancient sights. Visit the Acropolis, dating back to the 5th century BC; Olympia, where the Olympics began in 776 BC; ancient Corinth, dating back to the 8th century BC; the ruins in Mycenae, dating from 1,350 to 1,200 BC; the amazingly well-preserved, 2,300-year-old open-air theater in Epidaurus; Thermopylae, where the battle between the Greeks and Persians took place in 480 BC; Delphi, where you’ll hear about the Oracle; and more.

But that’s not all…you’ll enjoy time in the Greek Islands with three nights each in Mykonos and Santorini. Mykonos, Greece’s most famous cosmopolitan island, has a beautiful seafront village, sandy beaches, iconic windmills, and whitewash houses. Here, you’ll visit the Church of Agia Kiriaki, renowned for its beautiful icons, and have plenty of time to relax on the beach, walk through the network of narrow streets, sample local specialties, and take optional excursions. In Santorini, still an active volcano, stroll along the cobblestone streets, enjoy sun-soaked beaches, taste the local wines, and enjoy the stunning views.

In addition to all of these included sights, Globus has included some unique experiences to give you a true sense of Greek life. Enjoy a cooking demonstration to learn how to make the traditional Greek tzatziki appetizer and a dance lesson, where you’ll learn how to dance the sirtaki. In Mykonos, taste a traditional Mykonian dessert and in Santorini, taste traditional Ouzo, Greece’s most popular drink.

From the ancient monuments to the beautiful islands, this Greece tour is an once-in-a-lifetime vacation!
