Welcome to the High Arctic. A deserted, other-worldly archipelago full of rugged mountains, towering ice caps, immense glaciers and plunging fjords. Sailing 80 degrees north, depending on conditions, you may find yourself anywhere from 600 to 400 miles from the North Pole. The stillness creates a tranquility unrivalled anywhere else. There’s nothing like suddenly hearing chunks of ice break off a millennial glacier while floating on the icy sea.
